Butoh

I get about town a lot but recently was introduced to Butoh, a style of dance / movement performance that I'd never heard of before. I've read it usually involves playful and grotesque imagery, taboo topics, extreme or absurd environments, and traditionally the performers wear white body makeup and engage in slow hyper-controlled motion. There's apparently no set style, and it may be purely conceptual with no movement at all.
